Today has finally came!! Adam has been counting down the days... literally- he has a calender on the fridge that he's been putting stickers on... He packs his bag and repacks his bag every day...
Today is the day that Adam gets to go duck hunting with Brett! Duck season started yesterday and Brett had told Adam that he could go the following day. I'm not sure what's more exciting for him, Christmas or hunting with his Daddy. Really!! Adam has told me almost every morning he wishes it was nighttime already so that when he wakes up it'll be one day closer to "hunting day". This morning I woke up to the sounds of Adam's very excited and very loud voice. So I had to take a quick picture of them on their way out the door. Then I went back to bed since it was 4:30 am~

Kayla starts Kindergarten!

Kayla started Kindergarten last Monday. She goes from 8:20 - 3:40. Which I think is way too long for Kindergarteners! Brett went in late to work so he could be there on her first (and second!) day. Kayla did awesome! When we were leaving her classroom I told her to have a good day and she just waved and cheerfully said "you too!" She's such a big girl and I am so proud of her. Adam really missed Kayla for the first few days. He will be starting Pre-K soon but he's gone to daycare off and on and is current with the other kids so I'm keeping him home with me for the next month or so. We practice some writing and such so as not to get behind. I'm enjoying spending some one on one time with him. Now that he is used to Kayla being gone he says he loves "mommy & Adam time".

Utah/ Montana Trip!

I've been MIA on my blog for too long! We went to Utah & Montana a few weeks back and I can't seem to get caught up! We had a blast on vacation. It was great to see all of my family and friends. It's never long enough whether it's two days or two weeks. Kayla & Adam LOVED playing with all of their cousins. Montana was great too. We went with some of Brett's family. The house we stayed in was awesome! It was right on the river & had no neighbors. I can't begin to tell all of the stories. It would take too long, so I am just going to sum it up: the kids favorite thing to do was to go on a 4-wheeler ride with their cousin Cole. Which they did all day, every day! Brett did some fishing. I did some reading. We had campfires and looked at all the stars in that big ole Montana sky!
Nobody wanted to go home!

Taekwondo Testing

Kayla & Adam have been going to Taekwondo for the last 5 months or so. They tested for the yellow-striped belt today. It was really fun to watch. They had to perform the skills they've learned so far like kicks, blocks, and what to do in a situation if a stranger tries to grab them. The kids were so happy to receive their new belts and a certificate. They kept hugging each other. So cute! When we were taking the picture with the instuctors/judges they wanted to be hugging for it! It was so sweet. It makes me so happy to see how much they love each other!

Nana's Birthday

Friday was Pam's birthday. The kids were really excited to have her come and sleepover. They blew up balloons, colored her pictures, painted ceramic presents, and helped bake and decorate a birthday cake. Not to mention they ran around being really, really loud from all of their excitement!!
...and yes Adam wore his pajamas all day!

Silly String Fight

Kayla and I went to Walmart yesterday and she was checking all the candy and toys out for kids to want while you're waiting in line. She was wondering what silly string was so of course I had to buy some! They loved it!! These are about the only pictures that worked because the kids were running around so fast! They were just a blur.
